Green Funerals
As one of the founder members of the Association of Green Funeral Directors we are able to offer you whatever `green’ options for a funeral are available in your area. Please ask us for more details.

Music
If you are having the service at the crematorium, we will book the music through the system at the crematorium (Obitus). This is done up to 2 working days before the funeral. You may also chose to have a live piper, singer(s) or musician.
If you are having music at a burial service, we can take a mobile player. We would put the music on a USB stick.
If you are having music at a church service, we will liaise with the church on your behalf on what may be required (music system etc).

Order of Service Sheets
These can be personalised to include a colour photograph or a special poem of your choice.

Participants
The service can be conducted by a priest, minister, civil celebrant, humanist official, a relative, friend or by a Crosbie Matthew representative. We can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

Service
The service can take place in either of the special rooms in our funeral homes, in a church, in the crematorium or at the graveside.

Taxis
If you have used one of our limousines, we will book and pay for a taxi to take you and your family home from your hotel or venue.

Vehicles
We can provide the following vehicles:
a fleet of chauffeur-driven limousines
a horse-drawn carriage
a motorcycle hearse
You can choose the route that the vehicles will take. Let us know if you want a cortege.

Timing
When we meet you we’ll ask you for your preferred date and time for the funeral, along with a second choice. This is in case your preferred time is unavailable because of a previous booking.

Burial or cremation?
If a burial, do you have an existing lair or will you require help with purchasing a new one? If a cremation do you want the coffin to be carried in or placed on the catafalque before the service?

Catering
If you require funeral catering we can liaise with the hotel of your choice for the refreshments you request. Will you prefer a choice of drinks or specific drinks on arrival?

Clothes
Let us know whether you would like to bring in your own clothes to dress the deceased, or whether you want us to provide a robe.
If you want a cremation, there are certain restrictions on dress and shoes, so we’ll guide you through your choices.

Coffin
Talk to us about the type of coffin you want. You can look at our coffin brochure before you decide.

Collections
You may wish to gather offerings for your favourite charity. It is our policy to hand this money over to a nominated family member at the end of the funeral.

Conducting the service
You can choose to have the service conducted by a priest, minister, humanist official, civil celebrant, friend or relative. We’ll discuss the options with you and will make the arrangements once you decide who you want.

Attendance Cards
If you choose to have attendance cards, we can hand them out at the beginning of the service and collect them at the end, so you and your family will have a reminder of who attended the funeral. There’s also a space for people to write their own personal messages to you.

Floral Tributes
Wreaths, sprays or themed arrangements of your favourite flowers with selected colours can be arranged on your behalf from reputable local florists. Take a look at our flower brochure.
